It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we inform everyone of the passing of our longtime League Administrator and Registrar, Michelle (Mick) Geisinger, on November 14th.

Mick served a vital roll in the operation of the York Unified Soccer Association (York USA) and was key to our league's success. She will be greatly missed by the Executive Board and our member clubs and the youth we serve.

Please bear with us as we honor her memory while working to close out the current season and prepare for the spring.

York USA will once again apply its Primary Game Day Policy to the scheduling of league games. All clubs, teams, coaches, players, and parents are reminded that factors such as referee availability, field availability, special requests, or rainouts may result in deviations from this schedule.

Further everyone should understand that there is a greater likelihood of referee and field availability conflicts with our fall season coinciding with the boys and girls high school soccer seasons.

Concussions in Sports
Wednesday, August 14, 2013

In accordance with Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA) policy, and in support of PA Act 101, all member organizations and their affiliates must educate its coaches, players, and parents regarding concussions.

EPYSA and York USA require that each member club ensure that all coaches, assistant coaches, and other personnel who interact with its players, complete formalized concussion training as provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) [click here to access the free online training].

Furthermore, member clubs are required to ensure each player and family member has been provided access to CDC provided concusion awareness educational materials [click here to access player and parent materials] and to educate its players and parents on the organization and state policies [click here to access the EPYSA Concussion Management Policy and here to access additional EPYSA Concussion Resources].

Each member club must also maintain records documenting proof of compliance and submit Annual Concussion Education and Training Certification to York USA.
