PROCEDURE FAQs
   GUIDELINES & PROCEDURE REVIEW
Before making any Game Change Request, always review the current Game Change Guidelines and Game Change Procedure. Be certain to review the valid reasons for requesting and granting a game change, the required lead time, and the incurred cost for making game change.
   ESTABLISH PROPOSED GAME CHANGE
The coach requesting the game change is to email or telephone the the coach of the opposing team to establish a mutually agreeable date, time, and field location for the proposed schedule change.
   SUBMIT FORMAL CHANGE REQUEST
The coach requesting the game change, and using the infomration agreed upon with the opposing coach, will complete and submit the formal York USA Game Change Request Form. This form will automatically be forwarded to the opposing Coach, both Club Presidents, and the League Office.
   CLUB LEVEL APPROVAL OR REJECTION
The opposing team Coach and each affected Club President, after reviewing the formal change request email notification, will "Reply All" signifying either their Approval or Rejection of the game change request.
   LEAGUE LEVEL APPROVAL OR REJECTION
After receiving the formal change request email notification and the approval email from the opposing coach, The League Office (Registrar, Administrator, Games Comissioner, etc.) will review the request for validity. If the request is deemed valid, the Games Comissioner will verify field availability before ruling on the request. If approved, both Coaches, both Club Presidents, and the Referee Assignor will be notified of the change. If rejected, then both Coaches and both Club Presidents will be notified; the originally scheduled game will stand.
What is a valid change request?
Game Change Requests will only be accepted when the requesting team has conflicts with scheduled State Cup Games, Sanctioned Tournment Games. Unplayable Field Conditions at the originally scheduled field or Emergency Situations (per League Office Approval) may also represent valid game change requests.
My team will have too few players because of another event, what now?
Too few players because of conflicts with another event is not a valid condition for a game change request. However, if the opposing Coach is agreeable, the League Office will consider a formal Game Change Request.
Can a Coach request a game change because he/she can not attend a game?
The unavailability of coaches is not a valid condition for a game change request. Any EPYSA Carded Coach, even carded coaches from other clubs or leagues, can coach any team within the EPYSA family. However, if the opposing Coach is agreeable, the League Office will consider a formal Game Change Request.
How much time is required to get a game change approved?
